REGRANO M-1000

Modular solution for waste sorting and recovery of usable materials

REGRANO M-1000 is a proposed technological system for waste facilities and landfills. It connects material intake, mechanical processing, metal separation and optical sorting of plastics with the preparation of sorted materials for further use.

Target input capacity: 1,000 tons per month

The design is based on 160 operating hours per month, which corresponds to an average throughput of approximately 6.3 tons of input material per hour. The actual capacity depends on the composition of the waste, its contamination, the selected configuration and the operational availability of the equipment.

How the processing works

1. Intake and dosing
The input material is received into a hopper and fed in a controlled manner onto a conveyor.

2. Loosening and mechanical processing
The material is prepared for subsequent sorting. The method and intensity of processing are selected according to the properties of the input waste.

3. Screening and metal separation
A drum screen separates the fine fraction. A magnetic separator and eddy current separator are then used to separate ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

4. Optical sorting of plastics
Sensor-based sorting makes it possible to identify and separate selected plastic materials. The configuration is adapted to the desired outputs and the quality of the input waste.

5. Preparation of material outputs
Depending on the type of material and the customer’s requirements, the sorted plastics are shredded or pressed into bales. These are follow-up processing branches that are used according to the specific output.

6. Recording and residual fraction
The design includes weighing and recording of material flows. The residual fraction is collected for further appropriate handling.

What comes out of the line

  • Sorted plastic fractions for subsequent recycling.

  • Plastic regrind, depending on the material properties and line configuration.

  • Pressed bales of selected plastics.

  • Separated ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

  • Fine and residual fraction for further handling.

The production of regranulate requires subsequent recycling processes. Washing, drying, extrusion and pyrolysis are not part of the basic M-1000 configuration described here.

Subsequent Recycling Processing

REGRANO combines modern mechanical recycling with modular technology designed for real waste streams.

Instead of building large central plants, mobile units carry out primary sorting and material preparation directly at the landfill. Valuable plastic fractions are then transported to regional REGRANO recycling centers, where they undergo advanced processing.

Mobile Recycling Unit

Our container solution includes:

  • Material reception
  • Mechanical sorting
  • Metal separation
  • Optical NIR sorting
  • Plastic shredding
  • Density separation
  • Digital weighing
  • Material flow monitoring

Recycling hub

The separated plastics undergo:

  • Washing
  • Drying
  • Secondary optical sorting
  • Melt filtration
  • Extrusion
  • Granulation
  • Laboratory quality control
  • Packaging and logistics

Mechanical recycling is the main solution. Chemical recycling, including pyrolysis, is used only for selected plastic fractions that cannot be efficiently recycled mechanically.
